A handcrafted legacy piece from the golden age of American rail.
Built in tribute to one of the most iconic locomotives of the 19th century, the 4-4-0 No. 56 Steam Locomotive blends historical form with heirloom craftsmanship. Measuring approximately 24.5 inches long and 6 inches high, this static wooden display is mounted to a hardwood track base and includes a personalized, engraved tender car.
Drawing from historic railroad references and archival diagrams, each train begins as a CAD sketch, transitions to individually milled components, and is hand-assembled in the workshop. Every piece is finished with a food-safe mineral oil bath and open-air dried for a refined, varnish-free surface that reveals the character of the wood.
The tender car engraving—such as “Grand Dad’s Railroad”—adds sentiment and legacy value to this stately display.
This is not a toy. It’s a static art piece made to commemorate craftsmanship and history.
Please note: We retain artistic license over the scale, detailing, and wood selection of all train pieces. Each is handcrafted and may vary slightly from shown examples.
