Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you're commissioning your first board or adding a handcrafted train to your collection, we’re here to help. Below you'll find answers to common questions about customization, materials, lead times, and care. If you don’t see what you need, feel free to reach out directly.
Can I customize the design or engraving?
Yes—many boards offer optional engraving. You’ll be able to include engraving text in the order form if it’s available for the item you select.
What does a custom engraving look like?
Add a personal touch with custom engraving—up to two lines on the back of any cutting board in elegant Vivaldi Script for $30.
What materials do you use?
We work primarily with North American Walnut, Cherry, Hard Maple, Purple Heart and African Padauk. Each piece is hand-selected for character and grain, and finished with food-safe oil and beeswax.
How do I place an order?
Choose a product from the collection and fill out the custom request form with your specifications. You’ll receive a confirmation email, followed by a personal message with timeline details and a secure invoice.
Do you ship outside the United States?
We currently only ship to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not offer shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or international destinations at this time.
How long will it take to receive my piece?
Each piece is handcrafted to order. Standard lead time is approximately 4 weeks from payment to shipment. This may vary slightly depending on the complexity of the order and current queue.
Are these boards food-safe?
Yes. All cutting and charcuterie boards are finished with a food-safe mineral oil bath and beeswax polish—safe for serving, slicing, and everyday use.
How do I care for my board?
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and reapply food-safe mineral oil and/or beeswax as needed to maintain the finish. Never soak or put in the dishwasher or refrigerator. A care card is included with every board.
What makes these different from boards I see online?
Each piece is made by hand, one at a time—no templates, no mass production. Materials are chosen for quality and character, and the finish is applied the traditional way, not sprayed on. All pieces are handmade in Cave Creek, Arizona - not Europe or Asia.
Are these items made in the USA?
All pieces are made in the United States in a veteran-owned, small-batch workshop. We ship throughout the U.S.
